Plectranthus Amboinicus, plant extract has indispensible beneficial agents in traditional Indian medicine and Ayurveda. Incidence of several diseases, including Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is increasing gradually to a new peak. The major goal this investigation was identify estimate defensive capability Amboinicus on enzymatic functions liver investigate attenuating potential HCC biomarker. analyses include, effects serum level AST,ALT,ALP, Total bilirubin, alpha fetoprotein (AFP) fluctuations carbon tetrachloride (CCL4), induced rats. Toxicity stimulated by CCL4 with olive oil as vehicle the ratio (1:1 v/v);( 5mL/kg i.p). Sylimarin used reference (standard) for intoxicated animal groups. Moreover, observation histological studies favours biochemical changes observed. Results showed P.Amboinicus, highly depleting enzymes AFP biomarker, based dose regimen. These might have been due action enriched phenolic content get rid free radicals. Study concluded that P.Amboinicus universal modulating hepatotoxicity cells rat model.
